The National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature is an initiative of the Library of Congress, in partnership with Every Child a Reader and the Children’s Book Council. Reynolds is also the 2020-21 National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Reynolds writes novels and poetry for young people including: The Boy in the Black Suit(2015), All American Boys (2015), co-written with Brendan Kiely, As Brave as You (2016), the Track series, Long Way Down (2017), Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks (2019), and most recently he co-authored Stamped: Racism, Anti-Racism, and You (2020) with Ibram X. Jason Reynolds is a New York Times bestselling author, a Kirkus Prize winner, a two-time Walter Dean Myers Award winner, an NAACP Image Award winner, a National Book Award finalist, and the recipient of a Newbery Honor, a Printz Honor and multiple Coretta Scott King Award honors.
